Here we are in the fall of 2011, out here in the East coast the air is getting crisp. The leaves have started to change into their magnificent Autumn colors. What next? We know the drill: the weather gets cold, we bundle up, we stay indoors. Then the days get shorter, the holidays come upon us. Then the families gather and we see where we get all of our limiting tendencies. Then it’s the New Year, then it’s really cold and really dark. Eventually we emerge in March or April when the weather turns nice and feel human again.
May I suggest something different for this year?
May I suggest we all spend the winter being happy, joyous and free? Your mind is really the only block to being deeply good over the winter months- so let’s just lose our mind! Or… at least put it in the back seat and let the heart drive for awhile.
I design the flow of my advanced training programs to start at the end of October and run into the summer. This gives us a solid 8-9 months of structured spiritual work to keep us focused on the highest and surrounded by other people who are uplifting their experience. Not everyone can dedicate the time and resources to do our Spiritual Leadership Training- so we have structured our public programs this year to provide TONS of support. And please never let money be a reason not to go! In many of our courses and retreats we offer discounts. Just ask.
Check this out:
Private Training Sessions: I offer 6 session packages of one-on-one training sessions custom fit for your needs. First I teach you how to meditate and really enjoy meditation, then I am here to coach you, be your sounding board, and guide you through your process of awakening. I can do them in person here in NYC or wherever you are over video conference or phone call. This training program is our “signature” offering.
Distance Learning Course: The Way of the Crow is a course with weekly emailed lessons, meditation instructions and webcast satsangs. The Way of the Crow is about doing deep spiritual work, staying awake and open hearted in the midst of our busy, crazy, lovely lives. Course begins on the 30th of October and finishes the end of February. Click here for more info.
Weekly Satsangs:
Every Monday and Wednesday night in NYC I host simple meditation and awakened living sessions where we check in about our process and meditate together.
Mondays 8:15 Abhaya Yoga Dumbo
Wednesdays 8pm Virayoga Soho
Retreats

Our retreats (if do say so myself) are the BEST! We make them all different and space them out so you can come to all of them and get big doses of support for your process. If you want to take my challenge, come to all of them this fall-winter. You will not believe what a great winter you will have.
November 13-18 Jungle Retreat in Puerto Rico
This is a 5 day deep treatment. I am teaming up with Anusara teacher Ellen Saltonstall and bringing you all down to the lush rain forest of Puerto Rico to do yoga, mediate and walk in the Jungle. This will get you ready for anything! Click here
27-Jan8 Pilgrimage Retreat to Sacred India
This is our most “intense” retreat. 11 Days traveling around sacred India meditating and learning walking in the footsteps of the ancients. This is not for everyone. It is outrageous. It is life-changing. Click here for more info or email support@livingmeditation.org directly.
February 17-20 Radical Happiness Weekend at Kripalu
This is the bookend retreat to wrap up the whole season. Spend the long Presidents Day weekend rejuvenating in the Deep Winter. This is traditionally one of our most popular retreats. Click here to sign up.

Here is a quote about my love for running and my spiritual path that nicely sums up how I feel:
“There is something magical about running; after a certain distance, it transcends the body. Then a bit further, it transcends the mind. A bit further yet, and what you have before you, laid bare, is the soul.

Sending love,

Thanks Margo, funny, I feel the same way about riding (my motorcycle) on long rides. I bet horse people have the same experience, or long-distance swimmers. Something about the long distance.
Hello Harshada,
Smiling your way from yet another perfect day in El Portal Ca. -Yosemite is anticipating a nice long shower.
Wondering about two things, Ireland (when, and will you be providing a retreat setting there like in New England) .. or are you just going to be present for the festival?
Private training of 6 sessions! Cost/ and would you be interested in guiding me, teaching?
I enjoyed our session, so enjoy your teaching; many shifts occur, some times overwhelming without proper guidance.
P.S. I am happy!
-Love your blog.
